What's New
Congress has passed the new home buying incentive package and has included homeowners who have been in their homes for at least five years. A $6500. rebate is possible if you buy a home for your personal use (no investors) and use it for t least three years. You can upgrade or downsize or buy second home, you don't need to sell your current home to take advantage of this. What a deal! The $8000. rebate is still available for first time home buyers too. This offer is available until June 30, 2010 but you must close by June 30 and have a property under contract by April 30. Congress says this deal will not be extended.
There are 1500 fewer homes for sale today due to the sales surge in September and the stimulus created by the federal tax rebate. The market continues to improve in Albuquerque Mortgages have gotten a little easier to come by and prices are good, buying in Albuquerque continues to be a smart choice.
